Monthly Archives: October 2010

Friday, Oct. 29

This is the last posting for October…and almost the last posting for our Great Gatsby unit.  The test is on Monday.  In addition to a 60-point test, students need to be asking themselves:  Does Gatsby deserve the title “great”?  They need to be able to support their answer with three examples from the novel…including from the beginning, middle, and end of the text.

Study guides are due on Tuesday, Nov. 2.

Students will be discussing Chapters 6-8 using a visual and textual poster presentation.  The presentations will help them understand key elements, symbols, character and events from these sections.
